Using his connections with the shifter packs, he lines the iron armour with wool to prevent it from making him sick, and infiltrates their army, only to find the faerie injured inside. His plan won’t work and he must help her escape.

To get her to safety, Louvret must fight against assassins, dragons, headless hunters, and his own ego.

But there is another force at work, threatening the shifter packs, and his quest might be the only way to save them.

Lone is a standalone novella prequel to Awake in The Rose World, a series of intertwined fairy tale retellings.
